Ken Dolezsar

Tonight we talked about Ken, today we cried about Ken.

It has been a long hard struggle. After Ken was killed, 2 dads of players on the hockey team made accusations about Matt and I that caused UVU to fire us on the spot.

UVU didn't even ask us about the accusations, they didn't want to hear our response at all.

We were heart broken, still are. The team we built with Ken and worked alongside of with him was broken beyond repair, we could not save it. Ken was disconsolate I am sure and so were and are we.

If Ken were still live, no man would have dared to even try to wrench control of the hockey team from him nor us.

If Ken were still alive Matt and I would still be working hard running and coaching the hockey team. The team would have continued onto great things, instead of the ridiculous sorry state it is today.

If Ken were still alive I would not be having to sue UVU to get paid.

If Ken were still alive Matt and I would not be suing two men that we once thought were friends, whom we had meals with and shared ours and theirs homes with.

UVU did a full 3 year audit of every single penny that went through mine and Matt's hands, they found no embezzling, no inappropriate use of funds, etc....

Everything in ruins, everything we worked so hard for gone.....

Ken would have made all the difference, but for some reason a guy took a gun and shot him.

Matt and I worked with Ken every day for nearly 5 years.

Ken a millionaire sat on my white-dog-hairy couch and never minded, he just wanted to talk hockey and be with Matt and sometimes me.....

Oh if I could reverse the wheels of time.....

On Sept 22nd 2009, the trial starts, My husband will be there for every day he can, his best friend, his best dear, dear friend was cruelly taken from him....

Ken was taken from this world way too soon......

UPDATE on Ken's killer's trail; Ken's family says it now has been postponed until Jan 22nd, 2010.

UPDATE: NOW - It appears that the trial will begin on April 19th, 2010 and expected to last until May 7th.

Man... how horrible! I knew you guys had been through a tough time with the hockey team, but I had no idea how bad it was. Someone shot him? That's terrible! Best of luck at the trial.

Why is Ken being posted as a subject of any of your discussions on this site. How Dare you! use Ken to make YOUR point. The only crazy woman he was married to was his EX-wife in SmithFalls Ontario she fought with him when he was alive and she still fights with him now that he is dead and gone over something he never had. Now You blame his death for your tough times. I don't get what you are after.

To Anonymous poster above... I doubt that Lisa is blaming Ken for the troubles she and her family went thru. All that she was doing was stating the fact (hardly a fact that can be questioned) that IF Ken were still with us, those people in question would not have been able to take the team, money etc., from the Beaudry's. I'm not entirely sure what you are after, either. I don't think that it is relevant-nor appropriate-for you to air any of his (or his family's) personal issues for the public to read. This post was most likely written as a way to vent and deal with some pain and confusion-not to upset you or anyone else who may have been offended. Perhaps you should speak directly with the author before you point an accusatory finger?

Please know that I meant no disrespect for Ken at all...I worked along side Ken for nearly FIVE years....he would be so upset at what happened and at how we were all treated!

It appears that one poster did not read my blog enough to understand that I CAN write about Ken as I worked with him everyday. His death was one of the most tragic times of my life and because of his death Utah Valley University faced a difficult situation when I was slandered and the team was ruined.

Can anyone imagine what it is like to have a job that you loved, and an organization that you built with your bare hands and blood, sweat and tears torn away from you because of the false accusations of others?

This time in our life was a sad sad ordeal, it still is, on Monday November 14, we go to court to start our attempt to get justice for the slander.

But no one or nothing can ever replace Ken.....

gg,I just watched the story about Ken's murder on dateline, and I was intrigued enough to go online and get some updated info on the case. I am deeply sorry for the loss of this obviously caring individual who suffered a tragic death at the hands of a monster. Which brings me to my question. The "Monster" that killed Ken. Seems to me from watching dateline they got the wrong guy convicted. Is it just that I couldn't have possibly heard all of the evidence in a one hour show??? It certainly does not look like Chris is the one who did this.

I knew Ken before his crazy wife and ex-wife, before the millions, before any hockey team was even thought of.
Ken was always very thoughtful of others it was in his nature. Ken would fight for the person who had nothing and would make sure they would be alright.
Ken had a heart of gold when it came to people of any walks of life.
It is what it is....ken left this world a good man, why can't he just rest in peace and remember the man.

Just watched the dateline show. & have to agree that it appears they convicted the wrong guy! Chris does not appear to be the killer. His voice absolutely didn't match the "Robert" in the voicemail. Kens wife even said he was meeting a "Robert." And it REALLY doesn't make sense that Chris would wear a ponytail wig to meet w ken, a friend who knew he was bald. Not to mention the obvious plant of the shell casing, which, oddly enough, was not " noticed" until MONTHS after it was confiscated! That, right there, is a HUGE red flag as to the efficacy of the police dept! Why weren't polygraphs given to Chris, his wife and Novak?? Sorry for your loss, but this is a terrible injustice to all involved!

We just finished watching a re-run of the Dateline show and we also think that Chris is innocent. Surely in court the DA had to present a motive. What would that have been. It does not appear that Chris had a motive.
